Beef And Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3/4 c. boiling water
    1 onion, chopped
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    4 to 6 potatoes, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Brown beef; drain.
    To the boiling water, add onion and simmer 5 minutes.
    Add soup, salt and pepper to cooked onion.
    Cover bottom of 1 1/2-quart casserole with layer of potatoes.
    Cover with thin layer of ground beef.
    Top with onion-soup mixture. Continue alternating layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes to 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
    If needed, add extra water. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
