Bow Ties With Sausage, Tomatoes And Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 lb. sweet Italian sausage, casings removed and crumbled
    1/2 tsp. dried red pepper flakes
    1/2 c. onion, diced
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    1 (28 oz.) can Italian plum tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
    1 1/2 c. whipping cream
    1/2 tsp. salt
    12 oz. bow tie pasta
    3 Tbsp. fresh minced parsley
    freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
    Add sausage and pepper flakes.
    Cook until sausage is no longer pink, stirring frequently, about 7 minutes.
    Add onion and garlic to skillet and cook until onion is tender and sausage is light brown, stirring occasionally, about 7 minutes.
    Add tomatoes, cream and salt. Simmer until mixture thickens slightly, about 4 minutes.
    (Can be prepared 1 day ahead.
    Cover tightly and refrigerate.)
    Cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender, but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
    Drain. Bring sauce to simmer.
    Add pasta and cook until pasta is heated through and sauce thickens, stirring occasionally, about 2 minutes.
    Divide pasta among plates.
    Sprinkle with parsley. Serve, passing Parmesan separately.
    Serves 4.
