Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. sliced squash
    3/4 c. plain salt (not iodized)
    5 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 bell peppers
    8 medium onions
    2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Soak squash 3 hours in salt water, then drain.
    Mix squash in remaining ingredients and boil 30 minutes.
    Seal in canning jars.
