Red Velvet Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    7 eggs
    3 c. plain, all-purpose flour
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 oz. bottle red food coloring
    2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar and beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
    Add dry ingredients and milk alternately. Add flavoring and red food coloring.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours in a tube pan at 325\u00b0.
