Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    2 beaten egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 c. coconut
    baked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine sugar, flour and salt in upper part of double boiler. Add milk and egg yolks; cook until thick.
    Add vanilla and coconut. Pour into baked pie shell.
    Cover with meringue and bake until brown.
    (You may omit coconut and vanilla and add juice of two lemons and 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind to make a lemon cream pie.)
