Easy Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium green peppers
    2 c. cooked leftover meat, ground (I use 1 lb. hamburger)
    3/4 c. soft bread crumbs (I use 3/4 c. cooked rice)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    1 can tomato soup
Preparation
    Remove tops and seeds from peppers.
    Steam shells about 5 minutes.
    Combine remaining ingredients using only one-half can of soup.
    Mix well.
    Fill peppers with stuffing.
    Place in shallow baking pan.
    Bake 30 minutes.
    Remove from oven and pour remaining half of soup over peppers.
    Return to oven and continue baking 15 minutes.
    Serves 4.
    Fill the halves and bake them uncovered.
