*Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vinegar
    1 7/8 c. flour, sifted
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine cocoa, soda and boiling water in small bowl; set aside.
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and beat. Add cocoa mixture and beat.
    Combine milk and vinegar.
    Sift salt with flour.
    Add alternately to batter.
    Bake 30 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Makes 2 (8-inch) layers or 9 x 15-inch loaf.
