Baled Hay - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cabbage, shredded
    4 red peppers, sliced thin
    5 onions, sliced
    4 green peppers, sliced thin
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix the first 4 ingredients; let stand in salt water overnight.
    In morning, drain well.
    Bring remaining ingredients (syrup) to boil; drop in vegetables.
    Simmer 15 minutes, then can.
