Oven Barbecue Brisket - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1/8 tsp. paprika
    1/8 tsp. onion powder
    1/2 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)
    3 1/2 to 4 lb. fresh brisket
    1 1/4 c. prepared barbecue sauce
Preparation
    In a small bowl combine the first 8 ingredients and rub on both sides of the beef in a roasting pan.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate 10 to 12 hours.
    Bake, covered, at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes per pound.
    Chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour to let fat congeal.
    When ready to serve, remove beef from pan; remove fat with a slotted spoon.
    Reserve meat juices.
    Cut beef in thin, even slices across grain and return to pan.
