Ingredients

1 lb. confectioners sugar
1 lb. oleo or butter
3 eggs
6 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 scant tsp. baking powder
6 drops anise oil
Preparation

Cream the sugar and oleo.
Add eggs.
Combine dry ingredients. Add to sugar and oleo mixture.
Mix until it forms a stiff dough. Add anise flavoring to mixed dough and mix well.
Refrigerate overnight.
Roll and cut out on lightly floured board into various shapes.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
