Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. cooking apples
    1 1/4 c. unbleached flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cut apples into small chunks.
    Sift together flour, sugar and baking powder.
    Beat egg yolks and milk together and add to dry ingredients.
    Add apples.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into flour mixture.
    Drop tablespoons of batter into hot oil and cook until golden on both sides.
    Serve hot, sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar.
