Cindy'S Red Hot Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground chuck
    3 medium onions, chopped
    7 Tbsp. chili powder
    3 tsp. ground cumin seed
    3 tsp. oregano
    3 tsp. cayenne pepper
    3 (16 oz.) cans whole tomatoes (with juice)
    6 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and sliced (optional)
Preparation
    Brown ground chuck and onion in a large stock pot.
    Drain and return to stock pot.
    Add spices and remainder of ingredients. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour on low setting.
    Thicken with flour or cornstarch or thin with tomato juice.
