Hungarian Cucumber Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large firm cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    salt to taste
    couple of grindings of black pepper
Preparation
    Several hours before serving, slice the cucumbers as thin as you possibly can.
    Place them in a glass bowl.
    Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over cucumbers.
    Toss them gently to coat.
    Cover tightly and refrigerate until serving time.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
