Ingredients

1 Tbsp. active dry yeast
1 Tbsp. molasses or honey
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. whole wheat or white flour
2 c. water (more or less)
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 1/2 c. buckwheat flour
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water. Add molasses or honey.
Stir and let stand 5 minutes or until bubbly.
Put flours in a large bowl.
Pour in yeast mixture and enough water to make pancake batter consistency. Cover and let rise overnight.
In the morning, stir in 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and another tablespoon oil. Bake on hot griddle.
