Scripture Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. 1 Kings 4:22 (flour)
    1 c. Judges 5:25 (butter)
    2 c. Jeremiah 6:20 (sugar)
    2 c. 1 Samuel 30:12 (raisins)
    2 c. Nahum 3:12 (figs)
    2 c. Numbers 17:8 (almonds)
    6 Jeremiah 17:11 (eggs)
    1 c. Judges 4:19 (milk)
    6 Tbsp. 1 Samuel 14:25 (honey)
    2 tsp. Amos 4:5 (baking powder)
    pinch of Leviticus 2:13 (salt)
    2 Chronicles 9:9 (1/4 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg), season to taste
Preparation
    Be careful in your selection.
    Do not choose too young. When selected
    give
    your
    entire
    thoughts to preparation for domestic use.
    Some\twives
    insist on keeping them in a pickle and others are constantly getting them in hot water.
    May make them sour, and
    bitter,
    however.
    Even poor varieties may be made sweet, tender, and good by garnishing them with patience, well sweetened love,
    and\tseasoned
    with\tkisses.
    Wrap in a mantle of charity and keep warm with a steady fire of domestic devotion and serve with peaches and cream.
    Thus prepared they will keep for years.
