Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. white syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. peanuts (Spanish)
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup and water to hard ball stage.
    Add nuts and butter.
    Cook until golden brown, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla and stir.
    Add soda.
    Stir and pour quickly onto a 10 x 15-inch (at least) cookie sheet which has been buttered.
