Foolproof Chocolate Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. chocolate, finely cut
    2 to 2 1/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring slowly
    to
    a
    full rolling boil; stir constantly and boil briskly
    for
    two
    minutes.
    On a rainy or humid day, boil mixture 2
    1/4 minutes.
    Cool until lukewarm and add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and beat until creamy and thick enough to spread.
