Poppy Seed Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. poppy seed, soaked in 1/4 c. milk
    6 eggs, separated
    1 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 tsp. almond extract
    3 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream Crisco with sugar.
    Add egg yolks and poppy seed in milk, mixing well.
    Add 1 cup buttermilk, butter, lemon and almond flavorings.
    Measure out flour, soda and salt; fold into first mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes in a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
