Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1 1/4 c. sweet milk
1 c. self-rising flour
1 c. self-rising corn meal
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add egg.
Beat and add milk.
Add flour and corn meal, stirring only to mix.
No need to sift flour or corn meal unless you prefer.
Pour in greased baking pan or dish.
Bake in hot oven, 425\u00b0, for 25 minutes or until brown on top.
