Mom'S Silver Champion Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    6 egg whites
    2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Beat butter and sugar until very light and creamy.
    Add milk alternately with flour with which baking powder has been sifted with last cup of flour.
    Then add beaten egg whites and fold. Bake in three 9-inch round pans about 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
