Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large squash
    4 large onions
    2 sweet bell peppers
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. turmeric
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 c. salt
Preparation
    Grind squash, onions and peppers with salt.
    Let stand one hour.
    Boil together sugar, vinegar, turmeric and celery seed. Drain squash mixture.
    Put all ingredients in pot and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and let simmer 5 minutes.
    Pour into hot jars and seal.
    Makes 5 pints.
