Raisin Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins plus 1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 beaten eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil raisins in water until all water is gone.
    Set aside and cool.
    Cream shortening and sugar until creamy.
    Add eggs and vanilla.
    Beat until light.
    Sift flour, salt and baking soda. Add flour and raisins and mix until well blended.
