Vanishing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup butter or margarine, softened
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt (optional)
    3 cups oats (quick or old-fashioned)
    1 cup raisins or chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350.
    Beat together butter & sugars until creamy. Add eggs & vanilla.
    Beat well.
    Add combined flour, baking soda & salt.
    Mix well.
    Stir in oats & raisins or chips; mix well.
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown; remove to wire rack.
    Bar cookies: Bake 30-35 minutes in ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan.
