Old Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. of butter (3 sticks)
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    4 c. all-purpose flour (add 1/2 c. if using cake flour)
    3/4 c. milk
    1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter; slowly add sugar, beating well at medium speed with electric mixer.
    Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition.
    Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with milk, ending with flour.
    Mix until well blended.
    Fold in flavoring.
