Pineapple Crinkles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 egg
1/2 c. drained crushed pineapple
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cream the shortening and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Add the salt, lemon rind and egg, beating until thoroughly blended.
Fold in the pineapple.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda and add to the creamed mixture.
Drop tablespoons of dough onto well-greased baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
Sprinkle cookies with sugar and nutmeg before baking.
Bake about 12 minutes until lightly browned. Store airtight.
Makes about 24.
