Cherry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 (8 oz.) bottle cherries, cut up and add juice
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together and bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
    (I use 2 medium size loaf pans, 7 3/8 x 3 5/8 x 2 1/4-inch.)
