Tomato Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. canned tomatoes
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. butter or 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    6 slices bread
Preparation
    In a saucepan, bring the tomatoes, sugar and butter to a boil. Break the bread into pieces and add to the tomato mixture.
    Add extra bread until all of the liquid is absorbed.
