Pineapple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. (rounded) cornstarch
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
    2 egg yolks and whites, separated
    1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients in saucepan; add pineapple.
    Cook until clear and thick on very low heat, 6 to 8 minutes, stir occasionally.
    Mix a little pineapple at a time to egg yolks very slowly, cook 1 minute.
    Cool slightly and add lemon juice.
    Pour in baked pie shell and top with meringue; seal well.
