Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 c. sour cream
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 egg, separated
Preparation
    Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and a dash of salt.
    Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center.
    In a separate bowl, mix sour cream, raisins and egg yolk.
    Add all at once to flour mixture.
    Mix together with a fork.
    Knead quickly 10 to 12 strokes.
    Pat into a 7-inch circle.
    Cut into 12 wedges.
    Arrange on a cookie sheet 1-inch apart.
    Brush with slightly beaten egg white.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes until light brown.
