17Th Century Meat Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. ground moose
2 lb. ground pork
3 medium chopped fine onions
5 c. tiny cubed potatoes
2 c. beef stock
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. savory
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
pie crusts
Preparation

Mix meat and spices; refrigerate overnight.
Simmer meat with beef stock until all liquid has boiled away, 3 to 4 hours.
After meat has cooled, fill pie crusts and bake.
You can use beef for moose meat.
You can add grated carrot and celery; top with mashed potatoes before baking.
