Paradise Icebox Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box vanilla wafers
    1 c. plus 6 Tbsp. butter
    3 c. sifted powdered sugar
    3 very fresh large eggs
    2 (15 oz.) cans crushed pineapple (in its own juice), well drained
    1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip
    2/3 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Do Ahead: Crush vanilla wafers and divide into 2 cups and 1 cup portions. Drain crushed pineapple and allow to continue to drain until any additional liquid is removed. Soften butter to room temperature. Thaw Cool Whip.
