Split Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 smoked ham hocks
    1 onion, diced
    3 or 4 carrots, sliced
    2 potatoes, cubed
    8 oz. bag dry split peas
    1 can baby peas
Preparation
    Cook ham hocks in Dutch oven over low to medium heat until hot. Reduce heat to low for 2 hours. Add onion, carrots and potatoes and enough water to fill pot about 3/4 full. Cook 1 hour. Add peas and cook 1/2 hour or until dry peas are done. Serve with cornbread.
