Moravian Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage head, chopped
    1 grated carrot
    1 chopped green pepper
    1 chopped onion
    1 c. vinegar
    1/8 c. salt
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Sprinkle 1/8 cup salt over cabbage, carrot, pepper and onion; let stand for about 2 hours, then squeeze out all water with your hands.
    Discard water.
