Williamsburg Orange Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/4 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. golden raisins, cut up
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
Williamsburg Butter Frosting (recipe follows)
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour baking pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
Measure all ingredients, except frosting, into a large mixer bowl.
Blend
1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat 3 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into pan.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
Cool. Frost cake with frosting.
