Whipped Cream Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar *
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Place milk in double boiler and add flour.
    Stir until smooth; cook over low heat until thick like custard.
    Remove and cool well.
    Beat shortening until creamy and gradually add sugar and beat until smooth.
    Then add cooled milk mixture and vanilla and beat until creamy smooth.
