Onion Celeste - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large sweet onions, sliced
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 lb. grated Swiss cheese
    1/2 c. butter
    1 small loaf French bread, sliced and buttered
    1/2 to 1 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook onions in butter for 5 minutes.
    Do not brown.
    Put in casserole dish.
    Add milk and soup.
    Put cheese on top and stir lightly.
    Arrange bread on top and bake at 350\u00b0 until bubbly and brown.
