Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked 8 or 9-inch pie shell
    4 c. strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
Preparation
    Put on stove to thicken the sugar, water and cornstarch.
    Cool slightly.
    Add dry jello; stir to dissolve.
    Cool and pour over strawberries in pie shell.
    Serve with whipped topping.
