Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. popped popcorn
    2 c. firm packed sugar
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. light or dark Karo
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Spread popcorn in large pan; may need to use two.
    In heavy saucepan, mix sugar, margarine, syrup and salt.
    Cook over medium heat, stir constantly until mix boils.
    Continue cooking without stirring for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and soda.
    Pour syrup mix over popcorn.
    Stir to coat well.
    Bake at 250\u00b0
    for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Break apart when cool.
