Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. stale French bread soaked in water and squeezed out
    3 eggs
    1 c. sugar (more if desired)
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix bread crumbs, raisins and cinnamon.
    Beat eggs; add sugar. Beat again.
    Scald milk; add egg mixture and cook until slightly thickened.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla.
    Pour over bread crumbs; mix well.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
