Baked Herb Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. regular rice, uncooked
    5 Tbsp. butter, melted
    4 c. consomme, heated and divided (chicken, best)
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    3/4 c. finely chopped celery
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Brown rice in butter for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Combine rice, 3 1/4 cups consomme and herbs in a greased 2-quart casserole.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring several times. Stir in remaining 3/4 cup consomme, vegetables and almonds. Stir well. Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
    Makes about 10 servings.
