Pastel Peppermint Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. Karo light corn syrup
    1/3 c. margarine
    1 tsp. peppermint flavoring
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    food color
    pecans, halved (to taste)
Preparation
    Beat syrup and margarine, blending well.
    Add peppermint flavoring and salt.
    Mix in confectioners sugar.
    Knead until smooth.
    Tint with food color.
    Shape into 1 to 1 1/2-inch round patties.
    Top with pecan halves.
