Remembrance Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
4 Tbsp. strawberry jello
1 to 2 pt. stemmed strawberries
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Cool Whip or ice cream
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan; stir in water.
Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; stir in gelatin.
Pour over strawberries; mix well.
Pour into pie shell. Refrigerate until set.
Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
