Oven Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 slices bacon
2 lb. beef, cut in 1-inch pieces
2 medium onions, chopped
1 clove minced garlic
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. sugar
2 dashes hot pepper sauce
2 (20 oz.) cans red kidney beans
1 1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp; remove and save 3 tablespoons fat. Brown meat; put in 3-quart casserole.
Cover; bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Add onions, garlic and 1 cup water.
Add tomato sauce and chili powder, mixed with sugar.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Just before serving, sprinkle with bacon.
Serves 6.
May garnish with green pepper rings.
