Oreo Cookie Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) pkg. Oreo cookies
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
    1 (16 oz.) can Hershey's fudge topping
    1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Crush cookies, a few at a time.
    Put aside 2 cups of the crumbs for topping.
    Combine remainder of crumbs and melted butter and spread evenly in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Slice ice cream and place over crumbs (it may be softened enough to spread).
