New Style Sausage Mac And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) box ziti pasta
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    6 Tbsp. flour
    4 c. milk
    2 1/2 c. (10 oz.) shredded and divided Swiss cheese
    1 lb. sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained
    1 (14.5 oz.) can whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Grease 3-quart baking dish.
    Cook pasta according to package directions.
    While pasta cooks, melt butter in large saucepan.
    Whisk in flour and cook about 1 minute.
    Whisk in milk and cook and stir over low heat until thickened and bubbly.
    Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of the cheese.
    Stir in sausage and tomatoes.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Pour drained pasta into prepared dish.
    Stir sauce into pasta. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted and lightly browned.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
