Old Fashioned Moist Stuffing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. butter
    7 c. chopped onions (6 to 8 onions)
    9 c. diced celery (2 bunches)
    25 slices white bread (2 lb. loaf)
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Fry onions and celery in butter until tender.
    Toast bread until dark brown. Soak bread in cold water until soft.
    Remove bread and squeeze until dry.
    Put into bowl.
    Add onions, celery and butter.
    Sprinkle with seasonings that have been mixed together.
    Mix together. Add slightly beaten eggs.
    Makes enough stuffing for 14 to 16 pound turkey.
