Minted Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. peppermint
    green food coloring
    chocolate bits
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with cream of tartar.
    Gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff.
    Add peppermint and some green food coloring. Place about a teaspoon meringue on a foil covered cookie sheet. Put 3 chocolate bits on top of the meringue.
    Then put another dab of meringue on top of chocolates to hide them.
    Makes 24 cookies. Heat oven to 350\u00b0, but turn oven off when the cookie sheets are put in oven.
    Let set overnight.
