Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oleo (2 sticks)
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 can Angel Flake coconut
    1/4 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar. Add egg yolks. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
    Add vanilla. Add soda and mix well. Add coconut.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into greased and floured angel food or Bundt cake pan.
    Bake at 290\u00b0 for about 2 hours. Cool before removing from pan. Stays moist for several days, or can be frozen for future use real well.
