Sunday Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. molasses
1/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/2 Tbsp. powdered ginger
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Blend in eggs and molasses.
Sift together flour and all spices.
Add flour and buttermilk alternately to first mixture.
Blend well, but do not beat.
Spoon batter into well greased
muffin pans.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
Makes 12.
