Frozen Pumpkin Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. chopped pecans, toasted
    1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
    36 vanilla wafers or gingersnaps
Preparation
    Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir in pecans.
    Combine pumpkin mixture and ice cream in chilled bowl.
